Hello friends… Blessed Easter to all!!! As Catholics it is indeed our fundamental belief to Christ's death, resurrection and coming again.
We Catholic hold firm that Jesus died on the cross, through His death, the brokenness caused by the first man Adam and Eve were put right once again. It was and still the most precious gift from God, an act of love by Jesus to His fellow brothers and sisters. Unlike the first man, Jesus’ trust and fidelity to God is unquestionable, that He remain faithful to God till died on the Cross for us.
Christ's life is not ended when he was put to death on the cross, but on the third day he rose again from the dead. Through His resurrection Jesus shows that life in this world is indeed meaningful. Jesus tells us that our ultimate goal is to be reunite with God the Father our Creator. That life does not end after one’s death, but will be raise again to be reunite with our Father.
Thus, with this goal in mind we are called to be like Jesus, to be faithful to our loving Father. It is not to surrender our lives on the cross, but to show our faithfulness through our actions, which are always mirroring Jesus’ personality. We all are invited to live in holiness and to play our part as Christian, Catholic especially to make people aware that God never left us alone.
However, without close and deep relation with God, we cannot be Jesus or show Him to others and to remain faithful to him which is something hard to do. To have that close relation, to remain faithful and be Jesus for others, we must work on our personal relation with God. This can be enhanced through our daily prayer. Here in our diocese, we have Holy Hour in every parishes and in KSFX we have it every Thursday, and 15 hours of adoration to the blessed sacrament daily, 12 hours of adoration once in a month , weekly and in daily masses. Don’t miss all these chances or mediums, which can help us better in our daily lives, especially to make others see Jesus in us and that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
To His resurrection, which we hold firm as Catholics, let us together proclaim The Good News, through our daily deeds and words. Together, we rise and proclaim; “True enough, He is the Son of God and within three days He is able to build again the Temple of God” or simply proclaim “Truly, Jesus has died, Jesus is risen, Jesus will come again and He is now dwelling amongst us”
