As young professional, many of us have planned for our future, and plenty simply flowing with the rhythms of life. Sadly, many are conquered by emotion rather than rational, thus many of us has dissatisfaction, frustration, regrets that we buried deep inside our hearts that we alone know and experiencing the coldness of the feeling.
Is that what Christ wants from us? Living happily outside, but little by little every day got rotten inside! Young professional seems to always carry away by pride; we always want to show the best out of us. What important is our image rather than our soul. It is okay to let our souls got corrupted as long as we can have what we desire. Our future is blurred by our wrong images of abundant life.
What Jesus wants from us is to live happily with deep sense of gratitude and peacefulness within ourselves. We can desire things but at the same time we need to realize that we cannot have everything, there are things we simply have to let go and we have to learn to let go of the thing that refrained us from moving towards the eternal lights of heaven.
“Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life” Mk 10:17. This Gospel passage is chosen by Pope Benedict as 2010 WYD theme. Thus we in Keningau, is using the same theme for the 3rd KBK this coming 7-11 Jun 2010. We through this Youth Camp hope to learn how to live life as youth according to our position in the society.
We young professional tend to listen to our own selfishness of thoughts. We always making sense of the decision made basing on our own judgments. And that judgment is always corrupted by our emotions that had led many of us living in frustration and regrets, again this is the feeling that buried deep inside, that is not shown to others. Jesus does not want us to live in regrets; he came so that we have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). BUT…if you did not ever experienced difficulties in life you may not understand what living in abundant mean. So by means difficulties are need for us to grow maturely both physically and spiritually.
To enjoy the fullest of life we must grow and here are some suggestions on how we can grow spiritually;
Spiritual growth results from trusting Jesus Christ
. "The righteous man shall live by faith" (Galatians 3:11).
A life of faith will enable you to trust God increasingly with every detail of your life, and to practice the following:
G ~ Go to God in prayer daily (John 15:7).
R ~ Read God's Word daily (Acts 17:11); begin with the Gospel of John.
O ~ Obey God moment by moment (John 14:21).
W ~ Witness for Christ by your life and words (Matthew 4:19; John 15:8).
T ~ Trust God for every detail of your life (1 Peter 5:7).
H ~ Holy Spirit - allow Him to control and empower your daily life and witness (Galatians 5:16,17; Acts 1:8).
Let us pray
"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."Amen!
